US Shutdown Kelihos After Levashov is arrested
This person name Peter Yuryevich Levashov is suspected to operate the world famous botnet called Kelihos. Kelihos is a global network that is used to to spam & infect computers with malware since 2010. This report is announced by U.S. Justice Department on Monday.
As I told you before Peter Levashov is ranked as the 7th best spammer in the world. This ranking is decided by anti-spam group Spamhaus.

The arrest was possible by FBI due to an information. According to their information Levoshov is travelling to Spain from Russia. As there is no extradition treaty between US & Russia, that is why FBI can’t arrest Levashov from Russia. FBI waited from him & arrested him in Spain. US shutdown kelihos after the arrest of hacker & seeks deport to US.
The involvement of Levashov was quite suspected but after the statement made by his wife about him, the doubts are cleared. The statement of his wife was made in front of Russian publication RT.
However DoJ denied about the involvement of Levashov involvement in US elections.
FBI has Proofs But Russian Denies the Involvement
According to FBI, Levashov is suspect because of some reasons. The IP address by which Kelihos was operated , same IP is also used by Levashov for using his Email Id & Apple iCloud.
According to a report Levashov is operating Kelihos since 2010. The main goal for his job was to infected the Windows machine & send millions of spam across the world. His 6 year work has breached many security & dump stock spams.
Ahead of this Levashov is also involved in infecting many common people’s bank accounts & conduct many Online frauds to Americans.
According to the statement of Acting Assistant Attorney General Blanco “The ability of botnets like Kelihos to be weaponize quickly for vast and varied types of harms is a dangerous and deep threat to all Americans, driving at the core of how we communicate, network, earn a living, and live our everyday lives,”.
“Our success in disrupting the Kelihos botnet was the result of strong cooperation between private industry experts and law enforcement, and the use of innovative legal and technical tactics.”
FBI has obtained the court orders to redirect Kelihos infected PCs to servers operated by authorities. This process is called Sinkhole attack.
Now after so many things US government is trying to get the extradition of Levashov to United States.
